Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Regular white sugar
  • 1 large egg Can substitute with flaxseed meal or applesauce for vegan option
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Ensure it's fresh
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks Semi-sweet or dark chocolate recommended

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fold in the chocolate chunks.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned.
  2. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months. Use quality chocolate for better flavor. Chilling the dough can yield thicker cookies.
