  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (or 3 cloves of fresh garlic)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
For the Chicken
  • 8 pieces chicken legs

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, and honey in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk the marinade until well-blended and glistening.
  3. Add the chicken legs to the bowl and coat them fully in the marinade.
  4. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight for maximum flavor.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  3. Place a wire rack on the baking sheet.
  4. Arrange the marinated chicken legs on the rack, spaced apart.
  5. Bake the chicken for 35-45 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Broil for the last 2-3 minutes for extra crispiness.
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Leftover baked chicken legs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. To reheat, place them in the oven at 350°F (175°C). They can be frozen for up to 3 months.
