For the Cauliflower Steaks
  • 1 large head cauliflower Look for a firm head with no dark spots.
For the Seasoning
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin olive oil preferred for better flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For Garnish and Serving
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.
  • 1 lemon wedges For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem. Place the cauliflower head upright on a cutting board.
  3. Carefully slice the cauliflower into 1-inch thick steaks. You should aim for about 3-4 steaks, depending on the size of your cauliflower.
Seasoning and Roasting
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with the olive oil mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  3. Place the steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through, until golden brown and tender.
  5. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve with lemon wedges for a bright pop of flavor.

Notes

These Baked Cauliflower Steaks can also be served with grains, salads, or proteins like chicken or fish. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
