Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground turkey Lean protein.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh or frozen.
  • 2 cups cooked rice Day-old rice for better texture.
Sweet and Spicy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Can use gluten-free soy sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha Adjust for spice level.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to garnish Green onions Optional.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add the broccoli and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sriracha, garlic powder, and ginger powder.
  4. Pour the sauce over the turkey and broccoli, stirring to combine.
  5. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve the turkey and broccoli mixture over cooked rice, and garnish with green onions if desired.

Notes

To prevent overcooking, add broccoli when the turkey is almost fully cooked. Substitute ground turkey with chicken or tofu for a variation. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
